Hopton Pantomime Group

Welcome to the Hopton Pantomime Group’s official website!!!

We rehearse and perform at Hopton URC, Calder Road, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, to raise money to keep the church and youth groups running and also for other local guest charities. February 2003 we raised £1800 for these causes with Dracula The Pantomime.

We were originally founded as the Boys’ Brigade Parents and Friends Association in 1989 to raise money for the 1st Mirfield Boys’ Brigade Co. This was done through different fundraising events. Many of the same characters that founded the original group are still involved but as years have gone by the group has expanded. This makes for an entertaining and successful time!

The group work really hard to produce a fantastic show that people return to year after year (this includes a pub crawl around Mirfield selling raffle tickets).
We are happy to welcome anyone interested in being involved, whether on the stage or behind the scenes.

This year we are doing Alice in Pantoland - a story developed from the Lewis Carroll classic. The pantomime will run on 5th, 6th and 7th February 2004. We look forward to seeing you there!
