There are many people involved in the pantomime both onstage and offstage - a big thank you to everyone who does their bit, you are all important!

Marie Peacock

Marie is the Director/Producer.

Marie loves being a part of the group and enjoys it all. Here goes to more hard work... love you all xxx

 

Susan Cunningham

This year Sue is Dr Livesey.                        

Mirfield’s very own Pied Piper; a childminder of thirteen years with plenty of kids to look after. Sue lived in Woodstock, New York for 3 1/2 years as a nanny.

What do you like most about being in our group? - The laughs at rehearsals.

Stephen Walker

This year Steve is Long John Silver.

“Pirates are not just for Christmas”. A motorcycling pirate, goth, pedalbiking father of two. Married twice to the same lady.

What do you like most about being in our group? - Fun, socialising, good “atmos”.

 

Suzi Walker

Suzi is our wardrobe mistress and also has taken on the part of Ben Gunnlast minute!

When she’s not a costumier she’ a pirate! When she’s not a pirate she’s a goth! Anything to do with costumes - she’s there! She’s also a biker! She’s a wacky white witch! Twice married to Steve!

What do you like most about being in our group? - We’re a big happy family and I love it!

Jason Hanrahan

Jason is Henrietta Hawkins - our Dame!

Jason has his own dating website and is looking for love himself - any single men out there? (He doesn’t dress as a woman normally...)

What do you like most about being in our group? - I love the friendships and the laughs.

 

Richard Hanrahan

Rick is Captain Smollett.

Rick has joined the group recently due to personal experience of the good work that Kirkwood Hospice does. Always up for a good laugh and looking forward to this year’s panto! Rick has done a tandem sky jump for charity.

What do you like most about being in our group? - It’s good fun and helps raise cash for a good cause.

Colin Beattie

Colin plays Squire Trelawny.

Colin loves walking and winding people up. He is very active for an oap! (His words...)

What do you like most about being in our group? - The fun and comradeship!

 

Yasmin Taheri

Yasmin is our idiot Aft.

Yasmin’s favourite food is smoked fish in butter sauce (ed: what?). She likes spending time with Ruby.       She’s also Head Girl!

What do you like most about being in our group? - It’s nice.

Ruby Midgley

Ruby is our idiot Fore.

Her birthday is 16th May and she likes chocolate raisins. Ruby’s favourite lesson is drama. “Thanks for listening guys”. She wants to be an air hostess!

What do you like most about being in our group? - Spending time with nice people.

Charlotte Austwick

Charlotte is pirate Morgan.

Charlotte is doing her A levels after passing her GCSE’s. This is her third year of being in the pantomime. She has a chocolate brown cockerspaniel called Bracken.

What do you like most about being in the group? - It’s a lot of fun and another good opportunity to socialise.

Jessica Calvert

Jessica is pirate Merry.

Jessica is adament that 5’2” is average height for a British woman. Jess dyed her hair the wrong colour and feels silly about it seeing as though she was the one who asked for it.

What do you like most about being in the group? - Meeting new people who are interested in similar things.

Gareth Thompson

Pepsi is Mr Arrow this year.

Pepsi is an out and proud guy who is very outgoing and up for a laugh. He loves playing parts that he can make his own and add a little sparkle to. He can down a half pint of water through his nose using a straw.

What do you like most about being in the group? - I like the fact we have a laugh when rehearsing and we act like a team, I class everyone as my family.

John Winsor

Joan Chester

A real gem and help to Marie with lots of things.

Joan says she bounces well! (She is talking about her motorbike accident.)

What do you like most about being in the group? - Being part of a friendly group having fun and raising funds for Kirkwood Hospice.

Pat Peacock

Our wonderful tea lady!

Pat loves being back stage with the hustle and bustle.

 

 

Jim Hanrahan

New this year, Jim is our door man.

New to the group this year Jim is happy to dress up on the door for us!

 

 

 

Gary Peacock

Gary puts up with Marie and does the lighting.

 

 

 

Nigel Chester

Nigel very kindly donates the use and sets up the sound equipment, he also does the lighting.

 

 

 

Keith Chester

Keith makes the scenery and some props, anything Marie needs.

 

 

 

Sarah Ritchie

A former stage star Sarah is helping out backstage this year.

Sarah thinks she is hilarious. She was once in Poirot and a Smith’s crisps advert.

What do you like most about being in the group? - Friendships

Vicky Swire

Vicky is Billy Bones and Roger the Rabbit this year.

Vicky was onstage for only one performance last year as an understudy for one of the cast. Her first proper part this year!

What do you like most about being in the group? - The fun and friendship!

Laura Walker

Laura plays Sue, a sexy vamp this year.

Laura has just come back to join the panto after a three year break. It was a well deserved break but now she’s ready or the torture to begin again! Laura can walk on her hands...

What do you like most about being in the group? - The smile never leaves your face from September to February - ouch!

Gemma Taylor

Gemma plays Sal, a sexy vamp this year.

This is Gemma’s first attempt at pantomime. She hopes she doesn’t embarrass herself too much (ed: dream on...LOL). In 1989, she was on the TV show Hearts of Gold.

What do you like most about being in the group? - No comment yet!

Chris Walker

Chris plays pirate Black Dog this year.

Chris has starred in several amateur productions since leaving college but this is his first panto. Chris has just recently moved to the Mirfield area.

What do you like most about being in the group? - Don’t know. I’ve only just got here...

Eileen Ford

Eileen plays Blind Pew this year with Del.

Eileen likes to sing. She says she has a good sense of humour too.

What do you like most about being in the group? - Being in good company.

Del Ford

Del plays Blind Pew this year with Eileen.

Del is a very good driver and has driven on most roads in Britain. He is good at socialising.

What do you like most about being in the group? - I like being in company.

 

Karley

Karley likes to sing, dance, act and sleep! (ed: Not on stage I hope...) karley can play the clarinet too.

What do you like most about being in the group? - Everybody is really funny and helpful.

 

Richard Hartley

New to our group this year, Richard is going to help with the lighting this year.

Richard has raised nearly £4000 this year through street and supermarket collections for Kirkwood Hospice - well done!

 

Dawn Bagnall

Dawn is our Principal boy Jim Hawkins this year. Dawn stepped in at the last minute and brings her contagious smile with her!!!
